I was very impressed with the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi on Sunday and loved the closing section with A.R. Rahman singing the Games theme song he composed that then segued into 'Jai Ho' from 'Slumdog'. I've waited patiently and various clips have appeared on YouTube and here it is:
That is my new favourite song, whether it's called 'Swagatham' or 'Let's Go' (it seems to be called both). It's dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and I'm sure the Mahatma would rock out to it in his own style. Me? I love it and intend to play it lots!
