Ray Davies has a new single out just in time for Christmas, 'Postcard From London', a gentle Christmas song with Chrissie Hynde and a choir of children. It's a gloriously sentimental song, a song of love for London set at Christmas, with references to building snowmen in Hampstead and walking down to Waterloo... It's a very different song to his previous Christmas record with The Kinks, 'Father Christmas'. I think I love it.Chrissie sounds in good voice and here's hoping she'll join him on stage when we see him at Hammersmith next week.
