For the first time in I don't know how many years, Buffy Sainte-Marie appeared on BBC4 tonight singing a minute or two of 'Cod'ine'. It wasn't the Buffy of now, it was the young Buffy of 40-odd years ago in the film 'Festival' about the Newport Folk Festival. The DVD of the film came out a few years ago (and naturally I bought it) but it's nice to see it on telly. And nice to see Buffy on telly as well, hair dancing in the breeze as she sings.

Buffy On The Beeb
