Veterans for Peace March, Washington

A few weeks ago, the 'Veterans For Peace' march in Washington stopped off to see Buffy Sainte-Marie, who was in town for a few days, and she sung 'Universal Soldier' for them. It's a song about individual responsibility for war - it's over 40 years old and, sadly, still relevant today.

Buffy also recited her poem, 'The War Racket' (scroll in about 3 minutes to hear the recitation).

Thank you to whoever recorded these for posterity.

How wonderful to see these videos. Thanks for posting them. Will there ever be a time when "Universal Soldier" will not have to be sung? We can only hope.
